This week I would like to talk to you about what really matters in this life. I can still remember when I was a small boy; my sisters and I would be out of school for the summer vacation. We would spend our summer time at my Grandmothers in a small town located about seventy miles from my parent’s home. I will always recall the little sign my Grandmother had hanging in her kitchen. It was made of wood, stained in a medium brown and had a little fawn on it. The fawn was just a white out line but it had the little white spots and it would remind me of Feline, the little White Tail Fawn that Bambi was twiterpaited over.  The Fawn was off to the left side and it had writing on the right side that made this statement,” One Life Twill Soon Be Past, Only What's Done For Christ Will Last” .As a child, I never really understood what that proverb was actually stating. But as I have advanced in years I have come to understand more and more just exactly how profound that statement is. It is absolutely the truth.
So let us now take a moment and discuss the truth. The truth is just precisely what that little sign said.” One Life Twill Soon Be Past, Only What's Done For Christ Will Last”.
Have you ever seen a Hearse with a luggage rack on top, or a trailer being pulled behind where the body in the Hearse is hauling all that he or she has worked for along on the journey to internment? {Mathew 16:23-28}.We have just about everything imaginable to make life easier today, yet we do not have the time to really enjoy it. Many are working two jobs, cutting back on what is truly essential to continue in good health and putting the Lord at the bottom of the list of important things to do. We have to ask ourselves and we must be absolutely honest with the answers. Am I doing this for the Lord or am I doing all this for my own gratification? Ask yourself these questions, am I doing this for people to give me credit for this? What do I expect to gain from this? Is it only for the monetary gain? Is it for the power and authority? Am I doing this to prove I am not a total failure in life? Just a few examples of what to ask yourself concerning the things you feel are important in your own personal life. When all this comes to pass, what exactly will you be taking with you on your journey? When you stand in front of the Lord to give account of your life achievements. Will he be willing to say,” Well Done My Good and Faithful Servant”; or will he say “Depart from Me, I Know Ye Not”!
I hope this will give you the inspiration to examine the spirit in which you operate. Take care and have a great week and may God Bless and Lead you on your journey in life.

Just remember, you can make a positive difference in the world. It begins with your positive attitude, one action at a time.
