FORGIVEN TO BE FORSAKEN

                                         FORGIVEN  TO  BE
                                                 FORSAKEN!
This devotion is on the topic of “Forgiven to be Forsaken”. When we came to our Lord and Savior to be forgiven, we received Mercy for our past transgressions. They were removed as far as the East is from the West and God remembers them no longer. Our slate was washed as white as freshly fallen snow. With this cleansing we were also given the power to over come the life style we possessed in our old ways that we had been pursuing. With the phrase “Born Again” we were given a new beginning. Now the changes in our being of the “New Beginning” may come slowly or for some it may come rather quickly. The Lord will only allow those changes to come into our lives as our Faith in Him grows. We do not have to have a complete change over night. We are still going to stumble along the way, we need to remember that just because we have stumbled, that it does not mean we have lost all hope. As the changes do come, people will start to notice something different in our action, our language, our life style, our perspective on the things going on in the world at this very moment. Because of these changes many of the people we used to call friends and even more, our family members are going to reject the Truth that we have become someone else through the power of the Holy Spirit. In addition to rejecting the Truth they are also going to reject you and every thing you now stand for. The word that the Bible uses is “Forsaken”. Christ came to bring the Truth and he was not accepted. Let’s take a look at {Mathew 10: 17-42 along with Luke 10: 17-24}.
Many of us have been forsaken and persecuted for our beliefs; our beliefs are not based on some kind of mental condition. They are based on a True experience called Salvation and our reward is coming. So when it seems like the situation is not worth the expense, just remember what Jesus Christ went through to give us Eternal Life in the Kingdom. Some people are going to hold things against you from before you became a Child of God or even since you have become a Child of God.  But because of their disbelief the matter is not between you and them any more. It has become a matter between those individuals and Christ.  We need to ask those individuals for their forgiveness and then ask the Lord for His forgiveness. We may still have to pay the consequences of those actions but we have the help of the Lord to carry us through. Praise the lord for that guidance. We will make it through to the Promised Land which the Lord gave us the reassurance that it does Truly exist.
In closing I hope that this has given you some insight on what to expect from the World and most of all, what the Lord will do for you. May the Holy Spirit Keep and Guide you.
